Enrollment Information

Your personal enrollment information is maintained solely to fulfill the purposes of Medical Directives On Line - to increase the likelihood that your documents will be available when they are needed.  We do not acquire any more information about members and their related parties than is required by law or is otherwise necessary to provide a high level of service efficiently and securely.

Security Measures

We make access to privacy-sensitive information subject to rigorous procedural and technological controls, consistent with legal requirements and the demands of customer service.  SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology is used to protect your information during the enrollment, update and retrieval processes.

Disclosure to Third Parties

We will provide individually-identifiable information about members and their related parties to third parties only if we are compelled to do so by order of a duly-empowered governmental authority, we have the express permission of the member, or it is necessary to process transactions and provide our services.  Medical Directives On Line will not sell your personal information to third parties.

Our Employees and Privacy

We train all of our employees about the importance of privacy. We give access to information about members and their related parties only to those employees who require it to perform their jobs.

Privacy and Our Business Partners

When we make our technology or services available to business partners, we will not share with them any more member information than is necessary, and we will make every reasonable effort to assure, by contract or otherwise, that they use our technology and services in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy.      

Credit Card Transactions

Credit card transactions are handled by a third-party processing financial institution, which receives the credit card number and other personal identifying information only to verify the credit card numbers and process transactions. SSL (Secure Socket Layer) and SET (Secure Electronic Transaction) technology are used to protect and secure your credit card transactions over the Internet.

Cookies

"Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. Our site tries to minimize the use of cookies, but does temporarily use them to track the site you came from during a session.  If the sending URL is one of our affiliates, we may need to track the number of enrolled members and fees generated.  The sending URL will be saved as part of your enrollment application.  We do not provide individual personalized information to our affiliates.  We do periodically provide each affiliate with member names and enrollment revenue for those members that have named said affiliate as their referral source during the enrollment process.

When you click on links and/or ad banners that take you to third-party web sites, you will be subject to the third parties' privacy policies. While we support the protection of privacy on the Internet, Medical Directives On Line cannot be responsible for the actions of third parties. We encourage you to read the posted privacy statement whenever interacting with any web site.
